WirecoreFlip-Short-L.jpg

Once I get past the larger part of the trunk, I switch to this shorter, left-side wirecore flipline. I toss the longer ones to the ground, as this one is much more convenient further up the tree.
How long are you getting out of these?
I'm sure that they keep water off of your cable much better than rope.

I've got some that I made in the 1980's that are still perfectly fine. I don't leave them outside, in the truck or just tossed in the back of the pickup... and they last forever. I've cut the shrink tubing off to check on the cable over the years, but it's always fine. I only check them after about 3 or 4 years, now. Shrink tube 'em back up and keep using them. Nothing fazes these things. Pine pitch wipes right off with WD40 and a rag.
