Mostly because it's harder to make the 441C or 661C into a screamer... the Dolmar really comes alive. That, and this is the first Dolmar I've owned. Wanted to try one after seeing a ported one in action, and actually running it through a couple of logs. It impressed me, and I wanted to give one a try.
They are nice saws. I ran a friends for a bit. German engineering at its finest again. They seem a little more durable than a Stihl but pay the price in weight. Yours most scream with the porting. I've been wanting to put the new piston and rings in my 036 pro that it needs and port it. I used to port auto cylinder heads. I just have to learn the differences of the smaller engine.
