Wedge-grip failures

When they first came out years ago we had many fail. They were redesigned few years back to help solve the problem of side loading. Never used them again because the company would not reimburse us for the failures. Went back to Rigguy and never looked back.

That is funny Steve you and Aaron M. must have got some out of the same batch. He was giving me some advice the other day and said verbatim the same thing. LOL

I have some really big trees held together by wedgegrips. Fingers always crossed, but the same technology is used on utility poles. I have had wirestops fail where I did not bend the strands well enough. Operator failure seems to be a factor overall.

At the manufacturers lab with the A300 committee, I've seen wedgegrips hold while the 3/8" cable failed. They all saw it too, but still the A300 treats end fasteners with distrust. Meanwhile, ~20,000 wirestops per year are being sold.
