The Akimbo is a mechanical multicender I've been working on for the last couple years or so. at the moment i have several hand made prototypes and a patent pending, and I've been working with a cnc shop to make a first run. what i wanted was an SRT device that does it all. midline attachable, adjustable grip, compact, light(ish) weight, durable, secure with no loose parts, and no tools required for adjustments. so far its been working well. im really hoping i can get the first batch under way by the first of the year, still a lot of tweaking and testing to do. i may or may not have to go the rout of crowd funding, depending on cost to manufacture. anyho, here is the Akimbo!

Definitely looks like a winner. Keep us posted and let us know if you need investors or first run buyers.

I think the rest of the climbing world (cavers, rescue, ect..) are wondering why the tree industry is leading the pack in climbing devices. That device is pure genius!

I'd be happy to beta test it. I'm a big guy and would give it a max testing.

I too would be very interested in trying it out. It looks very well built and intricate. Looks good.

ha! i wish. i have come close to throwing it across the room a few times;). there is a lot of work still to do tuning the design. im not 100% happy with the bottom roller assembly yet, it is too fine a line between easy release and creep on slick rope. always room for improvement
