Setting up the rope wrench with the hh pulley

Can someone give me a pic or something of setting up my zk2 rope wrench on the hitch hiker pulley? I am currently using the stiffy as a tether and make my own eye to eyes. I just don't have enough room on my carabiner to fit the eyes, the pulley, and the ocean (or stiffy) tether.

10mm OP on a DMM Aero. Change from an O. Drawbacks are no biner inversion to make bridge attachment easy, No attaching a small swivel secondary to hitch set up as it wont pass over the locking gate (a TM ting will). Positives, bit more room at the hitch end, orientates reliably, has reasonable room to open gate when hitch set up is in place. It is a little more compact than the pic once loaded.

Gorman,

What hitch cord?
Are you hand splicing your eyes?
What carabiner are you using?

I'm using 10mm OP or AP with stitched eyes, a Hitch Climber pulley, and an Oceans' Tether. It all fits on a DMM Ultra-O or a Rock Exotica Rock-O. I have room to rotate the ' biner 180 to connect into a DMM Axis Small Swivel.

A picture says a million words, so here is one of my setups....oceans tether, hitchclimber, ZK2 and 8mm HRC hand spliced with a rock'O biner.....plus a micro biner to keep the oceans tether in place....smooth for me...

Hey Swing, tidy, same as my set up with spliced 8mm (OP thou). Having just the core of the HRC forming the eye probably adds a little more to how compact it is.

Hey Tony you should see how my Armor Prus 8mm hybrids look....Jacket of the AP poly with the core of the HRC, just a beauty wrench setup with cougar blue.....neat and sweet....

I run a 3/8th bee line VT on a petl william carabiner. It just seems theres so much scrunching and tryin to get the biner in the holes all while keeping the VT wraps intact when setting up.

Maybe I'm just too fussy. Hence my cat avatar.

No biggie Gorman, here is my setup when I use 8mm AP with knots, which is fairly often when I want to switch things up....10mm is HUGE and I am only 175 lbs and use mostly cougar blue and tachyon so 8mm is all I ever use...guess that is why it's so tight for you, might try a stiched hitch cord from Luke to see if that creates more space, I like the oval cause you can orient the biner for easy clip in...

Quick question, what's the lil non locking biner for on the hh?

[/ QUOTE ]

On mine I use it to keep the legs and tether in place on the HC pulley as well as clipping either my lanyard into (over the shoulder) or neck loop/hand ascender tether to advance the system on ascent.
