Looking for Someone to Take Over a Small Tree Care Business

I've posted this up here a couple times, but thought I'd throw it out one last time.
I have a small business in tho Skagit Valley of Washington state, and I've made the commitment wrap things up by the end of the year to either do some extended cruising (sailing) or go back to school. Rather than simply shutting my doors, I'd love to find someone who can A) Provide quality tree care to my customer base and B) benefit from the fact that I've already established a business and a good customer base who are very interested in quality tree care and preservation. It seems like a win win for me. I'd be looking to get something for the equipment (Isuzu FRR, Morkbark 2060D chipper, misc saws, and rigging gear etc.) I figure it's probably worth someplace in the neighborhood of $16,000. I've spent the last three years in this area building a customer base who are specifically seeking out an arborist who cares about trees, and is committed to proper tree care. I'm not really into the whole competitive greedy business model of capitalism, and much more into cooperative solutions where there's reasonable benefit to everyone. As such, I'm very interested in negotiating something if you're interested.
I just keep thinking there must be someone out there who either lives in the area, or is interested in moving to a beautiful part of the country, and would be a good fit to jump on this.
The business is Insight Tree Care, LLC and my website is www.insighttreecare.com and you can reach my via the number on the website.

Please Share more info & pictures of the equipment if you decide to sell.

Hey, thanks for the interest, and I am still just looking for someone who either wants to take over the business, or at least my client list, before I sell of my gear, but, if that's doesn't happen, I'll definitely be looking for buyers for the equipment.
Well then perhaps we should pool out duckets and buy him out..

I'm not really into the "corporate buyout" thing myself, seems the way all good small businesses go these days, which is a shame ... :)

At this juncture I'd still really like to find someone who wants to take on the business, or at least the client list, but my deadline for that is the end of the year, and if that doesn't happen I'll let you all know and offer up the gear.

Oh, and I know this might be a conflict of interest for those of you looking for the gear, but please do pass the word around and along if you know of anyone who might be interested in the business and an opportunity to have a step up in providing good quality tree care in an area that is woefully underserved in that department. It's a pretty open market for someone who is really serious about preservation minded tree care, and the financial demographic can afford (and is willing to) pay for good tree care, and usually quite grateful to have finely found someone that actually cares about trees. That's most of my motive in trying to get the word out: The Skagit Valley really needs a small company or two (or three) that are providing good quality tree care and the accompanying education. If I felt like my calling for the rest of my life was to be an arborist, this would be a prime spot to build a business. It also doesn't hurt that it's a stunningly beautiful place to live, either.

Dose anyone have any thoughts about other avenues I could pursue to get the word out? I figure there must be someone out there, it's just a matter of finding them.

I'd go to the pnw conference, there are a few Facebook groups, bainbridge climbing comp, that's all I can come up with. I completely agree on the open market, I'm not far from you, and you have better trees in skagit than we do on whidbey (just more and older diversity). I have seen some shit work around your parts, and some half decent. Other than that there are a few tree services around here that I'd like to send away.

I was mostly joking with Sean aka southbound, but if you would let the truck and chipper go together I'd likely mark up the chipper and sell it to Sean. I do get ya, with wanting someone to step into it and care for "your" trees, as well as you have.

Aaaand, folks, we'll start the bidding!
No, wait, not yet, folks, hold onto your seats, coming soon, in the mean while we have one fantastic opportunity to take over a great little tree care business!!! Comes complete with truck and chipper (at least, it does now, if you're quick, otherwise I'm just going to sell them and sail to the South Pacific). What a fantastic opportunity, a ready to go, up and running, business complete with the nicest customers you'll find any place! And, did I mention the trees? How about some pruning on a pair of 5+ foot diameter white oaks (that was this weeks big job)? Or, maybe some ancient three foot diameter Douglas-fir that must be at least two hundred years old, and looks like a perfect eighty foot bonsai, or, if that's not your cup of tea, a six foot diameter American elm? Maybe a little ornamental pruning, just to switch it up, you can't always climb big trees. Tasteful view corridors through a greenbelt, maybe a few traverses thrown in just for fun with fantastic mountain and water views as you take lunch overlooking the beautify of the Salish sea? A once in a lifetime opportunity!!!

Now we're talkin! There are some huge trees out that way. One monster black walnut that I want to measure. Pretty bad ass coop in mount Vernon, aanndd don't forget about location location location. An hour from the north cascades, 20 minutes to the ferries to the San Juan islands, about 2-3 hours to the Olympic mountains where they keep the giants (holds more of the pnw's record trees than any where else). Salmon fishing from the beaches. About an hour from Wesspur. Come one come all, but do it with style.
