If you stay logged in you get many benefits. The biggest benefit is the site will notify you in the top right corner of any alerts that you have. It will tell you when someone replies to one of your posts or likes any of your comments. It will bring you right to where the new posts start in any thread that you've been watching. You can "follow" a member here and that will allow you to see what they post. You can "watch" a thread and get alerts about that as well. You can also see hidden forums.

It makes it easier to not waste time looking through old posts and brings you up to speed quickly! Log In Now And See!!!

Occasionally it logs out for me any idea why? Possibly for me not being on the site for a little while. But it seems random when it happens

I stay logged in as well and once in a while I'll have to re -login but that's no biggie. I think it happens when I clean the cookies and whatnot off of my hard drive:birra:

I've been locked out for about a month and just plugged in the correct password to get back in. (I get bumped every so often even though I check in most days for new info and posts.)

So @Mark Chisholm , what hidden forums are opened up?

By the way could you change my user name to Merle Nelson? That was another of my new to computer failings when I first signed up. I tried entering Merle Nelson at first and flubbed signing up somehow, and when I tried again it said Merle Nelson was taken and so I just tried other renditions. :)

Wait, are the hidden ones all those cool forums at the top of my feed where they give away free gear? They are all labeled-

"This Hidden Forum Is Visible To All But @JD3000"

    I love those :risas:

I'm a new member here and I have to say as great of a forum tree buzz is, it is really frustrating trying to load up on here.

I never log out but I find this forum is basically frozen 90% of the time. I was unsuccessful getting on this morning.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong as I have no problem with other forums like Chainsaw Repair, Forestry Forum, Chainsaw Collectors SE.
Even OPE forum loads up super fast which has the same format as Tree Buzz.

    Maybe too much traffic here?

That is odd. We have a dedicated server that dwarfs our traffic by far, so it's not that.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Not me. On phone or computer. Computer might be holding a spot ready most of the time but phone loads from scratch each time and is up in a moment.
