    Our growing company is looking for arborists in the following three capacities:

    Sales Arborist

    We are a full-service tree care company working in the greater Ann Arbor, MI area with a focus on preserving and improving the health, beauty, and safety of our clients’ trees. Our growth continues, and we need to add members to our team.


    • Meet with clients and prospects to discuss their tree care needs and goals.

    • Discuss objectives, budget, details, prior history, etc. to assess potential for sale and long-term relationship.

    • Email proposals within 2-3 days.

    • Answer and return emails and phone calls related to sales and existing client relationships.

    • Schedule work, brief crew leaders in morning, and follow up with clients after the work has been completed.

    • Seek out and develop new clients in addition to leads lined up through the office.

    The ideal candidate should be able to…

    • Establish rapport with different types of people.

    • Listen effectively and ask the right questions.

    • Provide accurate diagnoses of health-related problems and informed assessments of risk and prognoses.

    • Develop treatment plans and prescriptions of care based on proven science and ANSI standards.

    • Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with arborists in the field.

    • Stay organized and on time with proposals.

    • Assist with education and training.

    • Prioritize time, stay focused, qualify leads, and build clientele with eye to the long term.

    Pay & Benefits:

    • 100% Commission with regular draws
      • Take home 30% of Gross Profit related to own jobs.

      • Steady bi-weekly draw with end of year reconciliation based on Gross Profit data.

      • Sky is the limit. Earn anywhere from $50,000 to $150,000 or more depending on skill, time invested, and ability to maintain good clientele over time.

    *Strong climbing abilities - mastery of basic techniques, familiarity with progressive techniques, and interest in ongoing developments.

    *Ability to perform the following work safely, efficiently, and with high quality: pruning, removals (felling, technical rigging, and crane work), cabling, bracing, and lightning protection.

    *Safe and professional work practices - adherence to ANSI Z133.1 and A300 standards.

    *ISA Certified Arborist

    *CDL-Class A (or ability to obtain one in a timely manner).

    *3+ years of experience climbing and performing general tree work.

    *Bucket experience

    *College degree (of any kind although a major related to arboriculture is ideal)


    Wage & Benefits:

    *$20 - $30/Hr. for Crew Leader position: depending on skills, experience, credentials, resume, references, etc.

    *Wages vary for Ground Member: depending on skills, experience, credentials, resume, references, etc.

    Plant Health Care Arborist

    We are looking for an arborist with a Michigan pesticide applicator’s license (Core & 3B categories) who is interested in the diagnosis and treatment of trees and shrubs and doing the work associated with this interest (fertilization, fungicide/insecticide sprays, injections, soil and root work, etc.)

    Ideal candidates will be ISA Certified Arborists currently licensed to apply pesticide with at least one full season of plant health care and IPM experience working with trees.     • Work closely with our PHC manager and clients to apply treatments properly and according to schedule.
    • Follow all safety procedures and label instructions.
    • Drive company vehicles safely to and from clients’ properties.
    • Complete required documentation and time-tracking forms.
    • Assist in sales to current clients through on site contact.
    • Regular inspection, maintenance, and repair of basic truck and rig components.
    • Commitment to continuing education, improvement in skills, and overall versatility and growth within the company....

    • Communicate effectively with clients and fellow employees.
    • Interpret label instructions properly, do basic math, and mix/calibrate products accurately.
    • Willing and able to work 40-50 hour weeks and in adverse weather conditions (heat, cold, snow, rain, etc).
    • Collaborative spirit and positive attitude.
    • Reliable and accountable on a daily basis.
    • Ability to carry out a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
    • Physically fit with a strong work ethic. Able to lift up to 50 lbs independently.
    • Active participation in maintaining safety.
