Experimental SRT climbing hitch

    My experience so far is that the hitch is somewhat less controllable without some squeeze on the helix. To use the remote control setup you describe I would expect some hitch/cord/rope experimentation will be necessary. Could be that a shorter overall hitch could be made functional with the right combination of cordage and setup, but it may be a lot to hope for. Right now it still seems like a miracle that you can climb srt with just a hitch in the first place. I'm excited to experiment. Could be some sweet spot with a grabbier cordage and a sportier hitch.

    There is another hitch that works, but have yet to hear of anyone else trying it. It's shown in Climber's Talk, in the Questions About Friction Hitches thread.
