    Pant's

My experience with purchasing any climbing specific pants, with and without chainsaw protection was relatively trying at first. Most of the sizing is not exactly how I'm used to sizing pants. Not to mention the fact a lot of them are made in Europe, but also considering the stretch factor. If I...

Live Oak Bark Can Be Challenging To Climb

I should maybe dig deeper, there may be a thread somewhere, if not maybe I should make one in the gear section, I'll ask anyway. To those of you who have used the Captain Hook, I have so far heard mostly good things. Do-all you who use it like it? And find it to be reliable? ( both for engaging...

    Tree motion sagging badly

This is the suspender solution I came up with... just paracord with stopper knots and the cheap elastic Buckingham suspenders

    Tree motion sagging badly

I too, like many of yous, am a skinny climber & run a TM. over the time (prob 5+ yr) I've been using it, I also have found that I'm more comfortable with suspenders to share the weight load, even just with an 020.

    Cribbing aerial lift out-riggers

No a bucket truck does not need to be 100% level, but it does need to be "within 5% of level" both front to back & side to side. Which I have found if you use a lift as much as I do, can be an increasingly difficult criteria to meet. As for the outriggers, or stabilizers if you prefer, look...

    Cribbing aerial lift out-riggers

I don't know if this is the place for this, but here goes... in my experience in the production tree work game buckets are more or less a must. Often were setting up in less than ideal locations; with uneven ground, rocks, curbs, etc.. long story short I have taken to strapping an assortment of...

    Sequoia, Ergo, MCRS....?

Also still putting off ordering my new gear... so torn on this saddle decision....

    Sequoia, Ergo, MCRS....?

I second that, I got mine before the "new" TM came out, and also got the beefier back pad as soon as it was available. It def helps, I have little in the way of natural padding.

    Rope reccomendations for SRT

So you guys aren't finding it necessary to use a line with more "static" qualities? I read in one of the other threads some one referring to the "stiffness" of the more static lines, "poor hand", I believe it's called.

    Meindl airstreams

I bought both pairs from tree stuff, and noticed a while back that the size selection was dwindling... I emailed the folks at tree stuff to inquire and

    Rope reccomendations for SRT

For those of you who employ SRT for more than just their ascent ( work positioning) I wanted to see if yous wouldn't mind sharing what ropes you. when the first rope wrench came out I got one mainly because of the appeal of using a rope Walker type system for long ascents. Until then I was just...

    Chainsaw racking ideas for MRCS

To those who've tried the "shembiner"... does it flop over to the side as would a kong paddle? That bugs the HELL outta me. But as far as not having any of the webbing tunnels for mounting, you just mount to the main "belt" line (like on the cover of Sherrills 2017 master catalog) pics of your...

    Chainsaw racking ideas for MRCS

If this has already been touched on, forgive me, but I'm still debating my next harness purchase and was hoping yous guys that run a MRCS could shed some light on what racking ideas you've come up with for a saw mainly. I like the looks of the "transporter" and the dmm version (beefed up...

    Sequoia, Ergo, MCRS....?

Hey MIT, I run a treemotion and as far as for the heat I would imagine any thing is going to get completely drenched in sweat, esp. in Louisiana! (I'm in NY and mine always does) but the TM is a great saddle. I think you're on the right track with looking for something you can take apart and...
