    OBD Scan tool purchase

Tom, I've used the Bluetooth kind with an Android phone. I use the Torque Pro app for real time data, and the Car Gauge Pro app for diagnostic tests and reading stored codes. Don't buy a super cheap Bluetooth obd2 interface, some of them just don't work. The ones recommended on the Torque Pro...

Rear camera placement (on hitch plate)

Indeed... Back up cameras, helmet radios, auto tuning chainsaws, not to mention the Internet... I was actually wondering if having it offset to the side a little would make depth perception easier. It might make lining up harder, though, and I almost exclusively hitch up pintles, so depth...

Rear camera placement (on hitch plate)

Does anyone have enough experience with rear cameras on trucks for backing up and for hitching a trailer to give advice on mounting location? I'm setting up a truck and was thinking of building the camera with some protection into the hitch plate. Without having tried it yet, I'm just wondering...

    Rigging Gear

I recommend these. We don't use much besides two of these chains for tree work. http://www.treestuff.com/store/catalog.asp?item=3456 Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

    Getting old(er)

Unless you had an injury that tore something, it's most likely just a strain or imbalance that isn't lining the shoulder up right and causing it to not move smoothly or impinge somewhere. Most of these things can be fixed with a little work to put the right strength and flexibility in the right...

    Ram 5500 or F550???

I think any real answer demands info on how it's going to be used. If you don't plan to put a ton of miles on it it may not make a big difference, but if robustness, longevity and serviceability are important I don't think there's much question the newer cummins engines are better than newer...

    Sold

I'd say that blue one on the right in the second to last photo is Tenex Tec. What diameter is it? A lot of the other stuff looks like single carrier hollow brade... What kind? Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Your first, tensioning the line of its way onto the spool is the biggest. Put it between your thighs and cross your legs. Only works with long pants on ;) otherwise you have to get creative, but winding it on with gentle even tension is essential. Also don't want too much tension or the line...

Ya, I thought they were expensive, too, and they are, but after I bought one of those reels to make my own and thought about the time I'd have in monkeying around and profit I'd need if I made them for anybody else, they don't sound so unreasonable anymore. Probably if someone went to China and...

Unicender, HH2 (Hitch Hiker) or Rope Wrench?

@DSMc, just curious, what situations do you get in that ask too much of the unicender? Not that I'm saying it's perfect, I'm just curious what you have in mind. By the way, for any one who isn't very familiar with it, the unicender is released by squeezing the top and bottom handles together...
