    Electric log- and brushcart, Treegoat

Hi Tom! Believe it or not, I really dislike a lot of the "robotification" of today but love "toys" that make boring work more fun. Dragging brush is one of them. Our groundie likes when I bring "the Goat", especially on days with uphill dragging. Craftmanship, be it groundsman or arborist, can...

    Electric log- and brushcart, Treegoat

Yes, in a way. But you would still just have the single cost for the frame, battery, wiringand remote control. There would be no cost for the axle itself with the differential. The motors and gearboxes eould together cost more, but in theory they would only have to be half the size and power of...

Electrical systems have in some cases caught up to hydraulics I think. If you want two independent motors and better ground clearance there is this solution, but I have no experience of it.

The axle is differential (correct word?) so they turn independently but you can't control it. Much like an ordinary 2WD car. You can order the axle with an switch to lock the differential, but the switch is manual so I couldn't see the point. If the differential lock was remote controlled it...

Here are the specs for the TX1 Benevelli axle, see attached file. Which part of the build are you interested in? The axel with motor only has four wires. A positive and negative for the motor and a positive and negative for the eletromagnetic brake. You really just connect them to where it says...

It's an Arbpro. I believe the model is LD2. There is a Harken winch on it. It belongs to a colleague. Beet regards / Oskar

Hi, I'll try to break it down roughly. The Benevelli transaxle with motor, hubs and gearbox is about 2000$ There are of course cheaper chinese versions but when you looked at the specs I went for quality rather than price. For example the pipe that makes up the axle is roughly 2", the thickness...

    Electric log- and brushcart, Treegoat

In 2013 I designed and construted an electrified log- and brush-cart. The inspiration came from the ”Arbor trolley” but I wanted something that was self powered and could handle slopes. It would also need to be exhaust free to go through houses in the city when working in closed yards. The...
