What size rope would you be using? My Lynx is experimental and not ready for prime time.

If you make the headstock from a piece of solid aluminum, by pre-drilling the link holes, then cut the aluminum off through the middle of the friction link and round the edges where the rope runs, you can make it adjustable by drilling and tapping a hole perpendicular to the link pins, through the middle. Then a set screw through the threaded hole will push on the link pin where the spring is pictured above, making the headstock adjustable.
